Starting Off Online with a Free Blog

Creating your own blogs talking about getting stuff online is a good way to help build your skills.  You can do things like writing articles about the stuff that you want.  This is building the skill of writing and you could win in more than just one way.

One of the ways that you could get an upper hand is that you are building your ability to write.  Once you get the writing skills up, you are not limited to just writing free articles on your blog.  You could start writing ebooks and start selling them.

The free blog that you start could receive some internet web traffic.  This might open the door for other income.  What income might come from traffic on a blog?  Think about joining advertising programs that are allowed on the free blogging platform.  Have you ever heard of google adsense?  It does not take a long time to install and it is a set it and forget it type of ad program.

Writing articles and ebooks just means that you are expressing yourself.  Don't think that you are limited to just those two ways of sharing information.  Those same articles and posts could turn into content in video or audio format.

What are you going to do with the traffic that comes to your blog?  Are you going to let it get away from you like a cup that has a hole in the bottom?  You don't have to let it happen.  One of the ways that blogs can be useful is building up emailing lists.  Email is another chance to build up your following and communicate with people that are interested in your topic.

Who knows, you might start getting the big head and start outsourcing some of the work to other people online.  Have you heard about the low cost sites where you can get services done?  You might start investing in getting other writers to create content for your sites.

You started by thinking that you were just searching for free stuff online, but you might have stumbled into the world of online business by accident.

Building Your Online Skills

Searching for stuff for free on the web could lead into other areas of possibility.  Just think about all the people that want to try free stuff online.  They might be ready to sign up for services like swagbucks and others, but these services might only give you rewards that you can turn into gift cards.  This might be okay at the start, but when you step back for a moment, you can see the bigger picture.

You are picking up skills in the process of doing simple stuff online.  You are learning about getting people to sign up for services like swagbucks, but you don't have to stop there.  Just think about it like riding a bike.  When you first get started, you are constantly falling down and you have a hard time trying to balance yourself.   After a while, you get good and you move past just riding.  You start getting so good at bike riding that you start to experiment and learn how to do tricks.  You start popping wheelies and doing jumps.  This is the same thing that is going on with your quest to get free stuff online.  Is it a big jump to start promoting other things online?

While you thought you were just telling people about how to get stuff online, you were really building up some skills that could be transferred to other things.  Are you blogging and telling people about signing up for online rewards services?  Are you creating videos?  Are you making more websites and blogs and getting some referrals?  There are a bunch of businesses online that want to have people promote their products.  Don't just stop with talking about free stuff online and getting stuff with gift cards.  There are lots of other options available.

Start taking a look at the skills that you are building and then start looking at how you can turn it into something besides just getting free online gift cards from the online rewards sites.

You might start setting up sites for your own online business.  You might start jumping into the online affiliate marketing game. You might start creating your own products and starting to get other affiliates to help promote it.  Just think about it and take a look at how you can start using your skills online.

Referrals and Turning it into your online business

Going after all of your points on your own is probably going to be the wrong move.  You want to help pump up your points with the help of others.

Turning on your computer and finding that other people have had some success in getting some points and you picking up some too is the best feeling in the world.

Think about it like you are the business person that has established a business and you are getting the benefit of expanding your salesforce.

If you have seen the movie called nightcrawler, you will notice how the main character jumped into business and immediately got himself an employee.  It helped him get more things done.

Getting referrals is a great way to help get what you want online.  They are getting something too.  Just think about all the people that are searching online and how you could get a part of that.

Keep your eyes on the ball and look for the many different ways that you could add some extra referrals.  You might start using your social media or creating some simple videos.  The choice is yours.

Getting going in the online referral business might be like dipping your toes into the water before jumping into the deep end.  Are you learning something about online marketing when you are trying to pick up referrals?  Don't companies pay for that type of knowledge and experience?  You might be building up great online skills and not even knowing it.

Going after free online stuff might turn into a real business option for a person.  Take some time to write down all the things that are you doing to get referrals.  You might be building websites, posting online social media updates, and even writing blog posts or creating ebooks.  These are skills that could be turned into a real business.

What is the upside of making this type of a turn?  You are not going to have to wait like with the free online rewards programs.   Your skills are getting developed, but you have to find a better way to use them.

Simple stuff like learning how to create youtube videos might be a service that you could provide to small business owners.  Not every small business owner is up to speed on all the technology updates.  Just think about all the people that still have old websites that have not been updated.  You might have setup a simple blog for promoting referrals, and you know how to create a good looking site fast.  Do you think some of those business owners with horrible ugly websites might be interested in upgrading?  What if you made them a super low offer to help them out?

Getting stuff online for free might be your first venture into the online world of business.  You might just need to step back from the newbie viewpoint and think about what you are doing and how you could turn it into something else.

Are you wasting time trying to get free stuff online with gift cards?

Still rolling with the swagbucks train?  It is super easy to use and you have to wonder why people would not want to sign up for it.  Sure, it could be a waste of time, but you are going to do some of those things online anyway.

Getting more swagbucks can be kind of fun, but you have to track your time.  Entering the swagcodes and doing some of the swag promotions might be a little bit out of the regular.

Searching online is going to happen no matter what, and you want to get something for it.  If you like answering questions, you can get those points quicker.  I don't do it that much though.  I like just taking my time doing searches and before long it is time to get one of those gift cards.

Sometimes, you want to sit back and take a look at how much time you are going about trying to earn a low dollar amount gift card code.  Would your time be better used coming up with your own business?  Could you be using your time to earn more money and you don't even care about gift cards anymore?  These are powerful questions that you have to ask yourself.

Getting stuff for free versus getting the money from working online is a powerful question.  Does it seem easier to work on getting points for a gift card?  There are some online services that pay for article writing, but sometimes the number of writing assignments can be kind of low.  This is kind of off topic when you are looking for getting stuff online for free I guess.

The downside of getting free gift cards is the places that you can use them.  You are going to be limited by the gift card locations offered by the companies.  What if they don't have a gift card for a store that you want?  This could be a downer.

Think about doing something online that doesn't take a long time to turn into money.  Before going down the road of focusing on online gift card codes, you might want to consider how you can better use your time.

Wow that was fast

I really like how fast bing rewards issues the gift cards for amazon.  You send in your request and a few minutes later, it is in your email.

The downside of bing rewards is that it can take some time to build up enough credits to get that card.

They have limits on how many points that you can earn each day.  This can be a limiting factor.  The five dollar gift card is pretty easy to get especially after you reach the gold status.

Your other option for getting more points is to go after some referrals.  Getting points from the work of others is leverage at its best.

Check into rewards programs and cash back offers

Once you get into a rewards program, you want to look around and kick the tires.  You might not even be aware of all the different ways to get those points rolling in.

Some people think just about the regular rewards programs, but you might have access from other sources.  The big banks might offer some cash back or rewards programs.

You are already buying stuff in the real world.  Getting some of that cash back with your credit cards and debit cards is a great idea.  Just by using your card and using the program.  This is like a no brainer.

The one thing about some of the rewards programs are the expiration dates.  They might not last for a long time and that can suck.

Check to see if your bank accounts and debit cards are eligible for cash back and rewards.  Just think about some of those tasks that you are going to do anyway.

Are you going to the pumps to fill up on gas?  Sure, the gas prices are already low, but every extra penny of savings is still great.

Flip the online script

Creating your own website to talk about the stuff that you want is not that hard to do.  You can come up with a easy blog on blogger and get the ball rolling in the direction of the free stuff.

The time that you have that is free could be used to write a quick blog post or record a fast video.  Once those content pieces are done, you are dropping little pebbles into online passive income accounts.

Just like putting a cup on a table and adding your change to it, over time it will grow.  You could do the same with your blogging.

The blog might be an easy location to share your thoughts.  When could the blogging pay off?  You won't know that until you try it.

What is your online love?  What is your online passion?  You might want all kinds of stuff.  Do you want to use your gift cards for buying dvds?  Are you going to use your gift cards to get clothes or electronics?  You can talk about it on your free blog.

A blogger account is also good because you are creating content.  It is a chance to build up your writing and video talent.  You are typing or getting articles created.  You are building up your communication skills.  This is real skill building that could change into other online opportunities.

Start with and idea and push it in the online space.  Get the referral links.  Think about building an online community.  Think about building up a newsletter or an email list.  There is no limit to it.

You might want to test the waters of the affiliate marketing world as a result.  Your writing could even lead to creating your own ebook.  Just get started on the road to using the internet for getting the stuff that you want.

Tips for Rewards Sites

Try to experiment with getting referrals.  The rewards sites have links for referrals that you could use.

Get into the habit of writing more content for your blogs and use your links.  Free blogs might be your chance to showcase your writing skills and end up getting some of the stuff that you want online.

The big ecommerce store that everybody knows has gift cards and plenty of sites have rewards using those gift cards.

Doing all of the work yourself is not going to be fun.  Get some other people to help you get the job done.

There are a few sites that are at the top of the list.  Swagbucks, irazoo, and gifthulk are just a few names.

Signing up for the rewards is easy. You might want to make it an everyday chore to get some points.

Searching the web and blogging could be your main sources for getting closer to the goals.

Answering survey questions and paying attention to any promotions that are currently available can help too.

You have enough to get started.  Now, it is time to start putting on your thinking cap and coming up with even better ways to scale.

Don't forget youtube videos.

Setting Goals and Getting Creative

Brainstorm on how you can create some value.  What are people looking for online that fits right in with what you can offer?

Think about all the different places where people want to get something online?  They might be people sitting at home or surfing the web on their computer.  How could you create something that grabs attention?

Brainstorming for new ideas is not really a new concept.  Just think about adding it to your online toolkit.  Write down as many different ideas as you can think of.  The next step in brainstorming is to create a quick plan.

Your plan might be to just try one new thing in getting stuff online.  The idea might work or it could flop.  Not a big deal.  You are just trying new things.

Keep on going through the creative list.  You might come up with an idea for a quick blog.  Map out some fast and interesting blog posts and give it a go.

Testing and trying new things is a way to learn.  You might pick up some more skills that are helpful.

Create a list of the stuff that you want to get.  You probably did this a lot as a kid.  Creating a list and checking it twice provides some focus.

Knowing what you want is half of the effort.  Staying motivated after you get started is another key.  Your creative idea list and your want list should be in your view daily.

The goals are all created.  Now, just start reaching for them.

Racking up Points

Getting into the right frame of mind is part of the online hustle of getting stuff online.  You don't want to go about it in the wrong way.  You want to do it smart.

Racking up points for tasks that you already perform everyday seems like a good first starting point.  You are going to search the web.  Are you going to do it on mobile device?  Are you going to do it on a desktop computer?  The bottom line is that you are going to pull up a search engine page or enter a search on the toolbar to get information.  Getting points for doing it is a good idea.

If you find a good program, you want to share it with friends so they can benefit too.  You do this all the time.  They have a big word for it called referral marketing, but it is just passing some good information to friends ( Social marketing ).  Getting some extra points for directing people to your link is not a big deal.

Think about how you can really scale up the referrals.  Getting more people earning points only puts you in a better position.  You just don't know how good it feels to see your point totals rise without doing anything extra.

People search the web. They do it all over the world.  Why not get a little piece of the action and get points and rewards for it?  Don't forget to think about creating your own pages online to share information about your wins online.  Creating a quick blog is easy.  It only takes a few minutes.  You could post your progress on the web.  People like seeing the upsides.
