Check the Details - Getting Points with Tasks

You have to really pay attention when you do online tasks.  These are some of the ways that you can earn points on incentive sites.  They give you points for doing things like looking at twitter accounts and doing searches and checking the results.

What is the problem with doing online tasks?  Some tasks are really simple.  They can be an easy way to get a few points.  But if you don't pay attention before going forward, you can end up spending a lot of time on a task and it might not be worth it.

Some tasks require a certain level of accuracy.  This can be a problem because sometimes the instructions are really too tough or too boring to complete.  What you don't want to happen is to complete the task and then not get the points that you were looking for.  To put it simply, that sucks.

So pay close attention before agreeing to do a task.  Make sure that the point total is worth your time otherwise hit the give up button with the quickness.

Why did I bring this topic up?  The other day I decided to get a few extra points while trying to get to a new gift card.  I was only a few points away, so I thought that doing tasks might be quicker than trying to earn points with searching.  The site that I was using just created the search feature.

The task required checking twitter accounts, but it required doing it 9 times in order to get the points.  It required checking a lot of twitter accounts and copying and pasting web addresses.  Then on top of that, the software said that I was giving the wrong answer a couple of times.  If they determine that your accuracy drops too low, you don't get points.  So I had to ditch that effort.  I am still a few points away from getting the gift card.  I still manage to get a few points for answering the daily poll question ( always an easy point ) and maybe getting a code for some free points.

What is your favorite way to earn points online?
