One of the downsides of using swagbucks is the long wait for getting the gift card. It is easy to pick up points, but they take a while to deliver the actual gift card to your account.
They just changed the way that they handle the gift card process. You can read about it on the swagbucks blog. People were not too fond of the change.
The change had to do with email accounts and entering passwords. There was also some talk about a 24 hour time period when getting the gift card email. It is still kind of confusing. Most people were wondering why they made the change.
One of the immediate changes that was present was the gift card page. It now shows a lot of amazon links. Could all those links have something to do with this new overhaul for security reasons? Doesn't the amazon affiliate program have a 24 hour cookie? Hmmm.
People are probably still going to use swagbucks, but it might also cause them to start looking at other rewards programs. Each program has it positives and negatives. Companies do change over time. Swagbucks has been really easy to earn gift cards with in the past, but now it seems like the process for getting the gift card redemptions is getting a little clunky.
The comments section had a lot of people wondering if swagbucks fixed a problem that was not broken.
